The client, the owner of this really cute, white cottage, had complained not only about the roof leaking through to the internal household but also of the cold in the household.
Haus Lab lead, Blake, inspected and found rusted click roof panels. A common technique used by roofers, but one that creates poor water flow over the roof.
To improve the speed of dispersal of water, Blake removed the existing roof panels, adjusted the framing to 5 degrees from 1 degree and installed new corrugated roof panels and flashing to match the rest of the house roofing.
Additionally, corrugated industrial foam was installed to stop wind flow under the roof panel gaps which increased the thermal and insulation properties requiring less power to heat and cool the interior house.
Another example of where we can not repair issues but improve your home or property, save you money and negate the need for repairs in future.
